Currier and Porter earn All-MASCAC honors

2022 Women's Soccer MASCAC All-Conference release

North Adams, MA- MCLA seniors Jillian Currier (Troy, NY) and Alyssa Porter (Boylston, MA) have been named to the 2022 Women's Soccer All MASCAC Conference team. Currier was selected as a First Team goalkeeper while Porter, who was All Conference in 2021 as well, was selected as a Second Team defender.

Westfield State's Jenn Rennich and Jaida Cochran were named the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year while Worcester State's Erin Condon was named Rookie of the Year. Fitchburg State's Jeb Booth was named Coach of the Year.

Currier started in every game and played every minute for the Trailblazers this season and in doing so finished 3rd in NCAA Division III in total saves (199) and 7th in saves per game 12.27).

Porter played in all MCLA 15 games this season staring 13. A relentless and tireless defender, Porter scored the game winning goal against Bryant & Stratton in a 1-0 nonconference victory in October.

Along with Currier, Rennich, Cochran and Condon, Bridgewater State's Delany Langton and Megan Keller, Fitchburg State's Maddie Hipper and Taylor Senecal, Westfield State's Kylee Murphy, Worcester State's Kristen Beidleman, and Framingham State's Jetta Oskirko were named to the First Team

Porter was joined by Worcester State's Hailey Skowronski and Haley Mignon, Westfield State's Marissa Jacob and Jenna Hurlburt, Bridgewater State's Michelle Belcher and Logan Levesque, Framingham State's Cathryn Cooney and Victoria Potter as well as Fitchburg State's Patricia Pallotta and Mass Maritime's Taylor Blanton on the Second Team.
