Porter’s Last-Minute Goal Earns Women’s Soccer 2-2 Draw at Fitchburg State
FITCHBURG, Mass.—Alyssa Porter's 90th minute goal allowed the MCLA Women's Soccer team to escape Fitchburg State's Elliot Field with a 2-2 draw this afternoon against the Falcons earning their first league point of the season.

- The Trailblazers grabbed the 1-0 advantage in the 28th minute when Kylie DeMaio blasted a shot inside the lower right corner for her third score of the 2023 campaign.
- Fitchburg State knotted the score at 1-1 in the 38th minute when Adrianna Westcott redirected a shot into the left side of the net for her third marker on the year.
- Following the intermission, the Falcons broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute with Meixsell ripped a shot top shelf that deflected off the bottom of the cross bar and into the back of the net for her second goal of the season to make it 2-1.
- The Trailblazers tied the contest with just under a minute remaining in regulation as Porter settled a feed from sophomore Cidnee Frymire and connected for her second tally of the season.

- This afternoon's contest marked the 29th meeting between Fitchburg State and MCLA on the pitch with the Trailblazers now holding a slight 13-12-4 all-time advantage.
- Fitchburg State held a 35-6 advantage in shots, while also holding a 18-0 margin in corner kicks
- MCLA keeper Eva Eberwein (T, 3-8-3) kept the visitors in the match turning away 12 Falcon shots. Fitchburg State goalie Skyla Vaudo (T, 0-3-1) made 3 saves in the game.
