Fitchburg State Topped Women’s Soccer 3-0

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.—The MCLA Women's Soccer Team welcomed the Fitchburg State Falcons to Shewcraft Field this evening for a MASCAC conference matchup. The Falcons got a pair of goals from Kendra Peretzman and one from Stella Liebler to walk away with the 3-0 victory.

- Series History: Fitchburg leads the all-time series 14-13-3, including a 2-2 tie in Fitchburg last season on October 21st. MCLA won the first-ever meeting between the teams 2-0 in North Adams on October 11, 1993.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fitchburg took an early lead, Stella Liebler scored what would eventually be the game-winning goal in the 6th minute. Delia Fitzgerald was credited with the assist on Liebler's second goal of the season.
- The Falcons' Kendra Peretzman added two more goals in the first half to send the teams into the halftime break with a score of 3-0. Peretzman's first goal came in the 22nd minute and was assisted by Adrianna Westcott. The second goal came in the 30th minute and was unassisted. The goals were the first two of the season for Peretzman.
- Fitchburg goalkeeper Madison Dawkins picked up her second win of the season with a scoreless first half, improving to 2-9-1. Cassandra Pendleton relieved Dawkins and stopped all three shots she faced as the Falcons kept a clean sheet.
- Trailblazers' keeper Destiny Alexandra Rivas (Leicester, MA) saw their record fall to 1-3-0 despite making seven saves in the first half before making way for Mallory Amirian (Haverhill, MA), who made 11 second-half saves.
UP NEXT:
On Tuesday, MCLA will be back in action when they play host to Fisher College for a non-conference matchup with the Falcons at Shewcraft Field. The teams will take the pitch for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
