MCLA falls to Colby Sawyer and Thomas (ME) in Women's tennis
New London, NH- The MCLA Women's Tennis dropped a pair of North Atlantic Conference matches this afternoon, falling to Colby Sawyer and Thomas (ME) by identical 5-0 scores. MCLA falls to 1-6 on the season, 0-4 in the NAC.
The Trailblazers dropped the first match to Colby Sawyer as the hosts swept the doubles matches before finishing off MCLA in singles action. Colby Sawyer then easily won the top three singles matches to earn the victory.
In the nightcap against Thomas (ME), MCLA again dropped all three doubles matches. Laura Laureano and Sarah Cowdell lost 9-7, while Megan Holmes and Danielle Wiencek fell 8-6. Thomas then dispatched Sarah Murphy, Holmes, and Laureano in singles to earn the win.
MCLA is back in action this Tuesday when they host Castleton at 3:30pm.
