MCLA drops Anna Maria for second straight Women's Tennis victory

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Women's tennis team recieved a pair of points from Megan Holmes, Sarah Cowdell, and Ama Adwetewa-Badu as they defeated the visiting Anna Maria Amcats this afternoon in a non conference tennis matchup.  The win marked the second in two days for MCLA, upping their record to 3-7.  The Amcats fall to 3-8 overall.

MCLA opened the match by earning a pair of doubles points as the team of Holmes and Danielle Wiencek won 8-2, while Cowdell and Adwetewa-Badu won 8-3.  Leading 2-1, MCLA took the court for singles action.

Sarah Murphy and Holmes won in the top two slots, Holmes winning a third set tiebreaker.  Anna Maria would stay in it winning at the third and fourth singles slots.  Cowdell and Adwetewa-Badu had other ideas though, winning in the final two matches to close out the win for MCLA.

The Trailblazers return to action on Thursday when they host NAC foe Lyndon State.
