Women's Tennis drops NAC finale to Lyndon State 6-3
North Adams, MA- The MCLA Trailblazers hosted the Lyndon State Hornets this afternoon in their NAC finale. MCLA lost the match 6-3 to the Hornets. The Trailblazers fall to 3-8, while the Hornets improve to 2-8 overall.
The match opened with doubles. The Hornets earned two of the three points to jump out to a lead heading into singles. Lyndon State took four of the five opening singles matches to earn the victory over the Trailblazers.
Lyndon's Kayla Flynn earned a pair of points, including a win in the number one singles and doubles spots. Teammate Olivia Bernard also swept a pair of points, including a straight set victory in the singles match.
MCLA's Laura Laureano earned a doubles point in her final home match for the Trailblazers, teaming up with Sarah Cowdell for an 8-0 pro set win. Cowdell also won her singles match to earn another point for MCLA.
The Trailblazers will travel to Sage tomorrow in their final match of 2012.
