Castleton, VT- The Castleton University women's tennis team swept the doubles matches as they cruised past the MCLA Trailblazers 8-1 this afternoon in North Atlantic Conference action. The Spartans are now 5-4 on the season and improve to 2-1 in the NAC.  MCLA drops to 2-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Castleton swept through doubles play to take an early 3-0 edge.  Ciara Bannister and Kirsten Kruk took down Mariza Sfakianaki and Ashley Juskhas 8-2 for the first point.  Megan Nadler and Emily Miller took the second doubles match over Briana Higgins and Lauren Kexel 8-2 making it 2-0 Spartans.  A third straight 8-2 win came from Lauren Reck and Alexis Curley over Katherine Grill and Danielle Nolan heading into singles.
