Trailblazers fall to Rams in close four sets

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Trailblazers fell to conference rival Framingham State University in tonight's four set match. The Trailblazers now fall to 3-10 (0-3) while the Rams of Framingham climb to 13-4 (3-0).

Framingham came out strong winning a close game one 25-22. The Rams were led by freshman Danielle Girard who had 4 kills on 8 attempts, 1 assist and 4 digs.

Game two ended in the Trailblazers favor 25-22, behind a strong performance by senior Kendra Hobbs who had 2 blocks and 1 ace.

The Trailblazers didn't stop fighting, but lost games three and four 25-20 and 25-21.

Offensively the Rams were led by two time MASCAC Player of the Week Andressa Fernandes who had 14 kills on 41 attempts and 6 digs. Teammate Kassandra Jermyn had 32 assists.

Junior Kelley Bryant stood out once again on the defensive side for the Trailblazers collecting 14 digs.

Anelica Perfido finished the match with 11 kills on 31 attempts and 8 digs.

MCLA looks to improve this coming weekend when they host Kean College, SUNY Cobleskill and Daniel Webster first match starting at 11:00 AM.
