Trailblazers drop non conference tilt at Cobleskill 3-1

Cobleskill, NY- The MCLA Trailblazers Volleyball team dropped a non conference road tilt at SUNY Cobleskill Wednesday night 3-1.  MCLA now falls to 9-18 while the Tigers improve to 14-16 overall.

MCLA jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead following a 25-21 win in the opening set.  The hosts would fight back though, earning a hard fought 26-24 second set victory before easily taking set three 25-14.  Cobleskill would close out MCLA winning the final set 25-22.

MCLA was led by Julia Christian's team high 9 kills.  She also added 14 digs and 4 aces.  Darien Quick had a productive night off the bench as she totaled 7 kills and 7 digs for the Trailblazers.  Brittany Kish finished with 29 assists.  Kendra Hobbs chipped in with 5 aces.

Cobleskill was led by Amber Baker's match high 12 kills.  Kim Cordova finished with 14 digs, while Casey Holbert added 22 assists.

MCLA will wrap up the regular season on Saturday when they host SUNY-IT at 1pm.  The match will also be senior day. 

The Trailblazers will then move on to the MASCAC quarterfinals next Wednesday when they will travel to Westfield State.
