Volleyball falls to MASCAC leader Framingham State 3-1

Framingham, MA- The MCLA Volleyball team traveled to MASCAC rival and conference leader Framingham State this evening.  The Trailblazers took the opening set from the Rams, however they dropped the next three as Framingham earned a 3-1 victory.

MCLA falls below .500 at 7-8 overall and is still in search of their first MASCAC win (0-2).  The Rams improve to 12-4 overall and remain perfect in MASCAC play at 3-0.

The Trailblazers started strong taking the opening game from the Rams 25-23.  Framingham would bounce back though cruising to a 25-5 win to even the match.  The Rams would keep on the attack taking game three 25-7 and then closing out MCLA 25-15 in the fourth to earn the win.

Framingham was led by Alycia Rackliffe who recorded a match best 14 kills on 24 attacks.  She added 7 digs and a pair of blocks.  Andressa Fernandes chipped in with 12 kills and 4 digs.  Maribeth Martin notched 24 assists and Morgan Drew added 12.

For MCLA, Sam Anderson and Rachel Mills each notched four kills to lead the team.  Jackie Paluilis and Allie Chang recorded a team best 13 digs, while Kendra Hobbs added 12.  Courtney Parent collected 18 assists.

The Trailblazers are off until Tuesday night when they host Norwich in the Amsler Campus Center Gym at 7pm.
