MCLA falls in five sets to Norwich

North Adams, MA- MCLA played host to Norwich University this evening in a five set marathon. The Cadets of Norwich came away with the win and improve to 4-13 while the Trailblazers of MCLA fall to 7-9.

Norwich took the opening set 25-20 before MCLA came back and won two straight 25-23, 25-21 before dropping the last two 25-15 and 15-10.

MCLA was paced offensively by Courtney Parent who had 2 kills, 41 assists, 5 aces and 7 digs. Teammates Darien Quick had a team high 14 kills and Sam Barbarotta had 5 aces and 11 digs.

For Norwich Kelsey Mancini had a team high 13 kills on 35 attempts. Corinne Baita chipped in with 23 assists.

MCLA will travel to Cazenovia this weekend, playing four matches in the "Dig Pink" tournament.  The Trailblazers will return home on Monday as they battle Mass. Maritime seeking their first conference victory.
