Volleyball drops Tri Match with Salem State and Endicott

Salem, MA- The MCLA Volleyball team went on the road for a tri match with MASCAC foe Salem State and Endicott.  The Trailblazers dropped the opener to Salem 3-1 before falling 3-0 to Endicott in the nightcap.  The Trailblazers fall to 9-14 overall and 1-3 in the MASCAC.

In the opener against the Vikings, MCLA dropped the opening game 25-18 before rallying to tie the match at 1-1 after winning game two 27-25.  The Trailblazers would drop the next though, falling 25-21 and 25-20 to give Salem the victory.

Rachel Mills had a solid hitting day racking up nine kills on 16 attacks.  Julia Christian added 7 kills.  Kendra Hobbs had a team best 9 digs.

In the nightcap against the Gulls, MCLA fell by scores of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-8.  Mills again led the attack with 6 kills while Jackie Paluilis notched 11 digs.  Sam Barbarotta collected 10 assists in the loss.

MCLA is back on the court Wednesday night when they battle Westfield State at 7pm in their annual Dig Pink game.
