Volleyball splits Tri Match at Daniel Webster

Nashua, NH- The MCLA Volleyball team split a tri match this afternoon at Daniel Webster College.  The Trailblazers defeated Becker College 3-0 before falling to the hosts 3-0.  With the split, MCLA is now 10-16 on the season.

The Trailblazers won the opener over Becker by scores of 25-17, 26-24, and 25-19.  MCLA recorded 34 kills during the match with Rachel Mills leading the way with 9 on 20 attempts.  Julia Christian and Sam Anderson chipped in with 7 kills each.  Courtney Parent had a productive match with 17 assists and 12 aces.  Amanda Fleming had 20 digs.

In the nightcap against Daniel Webster, MCLA lost by scores of 25-9, 25-20, and 25-12.  Christian led with 4 kills, but MCLA was doomed by 26 attack errors in the match.

MCLA will be home for the final week of the regular season hosting Cobleskill in the annual Dig Pink match on Tuesday before closing its conference and regular season schedule on Saturday against Bridgewater State.
