Christian earns second team All MASCAC honors

2013 All MASCAC Volleyball team

North Adams, MA- The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) has released the 2013 All conference team for Volleyball.  Trailblazer Julia Christian was tabbed as a second team selection.

Julia Warner of Westfield State was named the conference's player of the year, while Framingham State's Alycia Rackliffe claimed the rookie of the year.  Fred Glanville of Westfield State University was selected as the MASCAC coach of the year.

Christian is the lone Trailblazer named to the 14 player squad.  The senior from Cohoes, NY was the top offensive threat for MCLA.  The middle hitter led the Trailblazers with 145 kills and added 88 digs.  The honor is the second for Christian who was a second team selection a year ago.

Christian and the Trailblazers earned the sixth seed in the MASCAC Volleyball Championships and will battle Bridgewater State this evening at 6pm.   The winner will move on the conference semifinals to be held at top seed Westfield State.
