Volleyball ties program mark for wins with 3-2 win over Cobleskill

Cobleskill, NY- The MCLA Volleyball team traveled to Cobleskill this evening for a non conference match with the Fighting Tigers for the second time in four days.  The Trailblazers defeated Cobleskill 3-2, which was the same score the Fighting Tigers defeated MCLA last week.  

With the win, the Trailblazers have tied a school record for wins in a season by improving to 15-11.  Cobleskill falls to 11-21 with the loss.  MCLA will have a chance to break the record on Saturday when they travel to Bridgewater for their final regular season matchup.

Cobleskill took the first two games 25-23 and 25-12 appearing to be in complete control.  MCLA however would rebound to capture the next two games 25-9 and 25-22 before finishing off Cobleskill 15-10 in the final set.

Samantha Anderson paced MCLA with 15 kills.  Rachel Mills added 10 kills and 11 digs.  Jackie Paluilis led the Trailblazers with 25 digs and Allie Chang added 23.  Courtney Parent fed the offense with 32 assists.

The Trailblazers will look to extend their two game winning streak on Saturday at Bridgewater State.
