Volleyball beaten 3-0 at Bridgewater, will face Bears again on Wednesday

Bridgewater, MA- The Bridgewater State University Volleyball team defeated the visiting MCLA Trailblazers 3-0 this afternoon.  With the win, the Bears improve to 17-18 (3-3 MASCAC), while the Trailblazers finishe the regular season with a mark of 15-12 (2-4 MASCAC).  

The two teams will meet again on Wednesday night back in Bridgewater in the quarterfinal round of the MASCAC playoffs.  Compliments of their win, the Bears are the fourth seed while MCLA is the fifth seed.

Bridgewater earned a hard fought 25-21 set one victory before cruising 25-5 in the second.  They would close out MCLA 25-15 to earn the win.

Samantha Anderson led MCLA with 9 kills.  Rachel Mills chipped in with 6 kills, while Courtney Parent added a team best 15 assists.

Bridgewater was paced by Hannah Maymon's match best 16 kills on 29 attacks.  Charleyne Panner finished with 36 assists, while Lisa Vega had 13 digs defensively.
