Clark collects 16 kills, however Trailblazers fall 3-1 to Sage

Troy, NY- The Sage College volleyball team took advantage of thirty Trailblazer attack errors as they rallied past MCLA 3-1 this evening in non conference action.  The Trailblazers drop to 15-7 with the loss while Sage improves to 14-7.

Sage took the opening game 25-15 before MCLA took the next 25-20.  The Gators would control play over the final two sets winning 25-15 and 25-14 to close out the Trailblazers.

Allison Clark once again was outstanding on offense.  The junior hitter collected 16 kills on 33 attacks to lead the offense.  She ended with six digs, five block assists, and one solo block.  No other Trailblazer was in double digits for kills.  Beatrice Lechler finished with 17 assists and Courtney Parent ended with 15.

On the defensive side, Angelica Perfido and Rachel Mills had 15 and 14 digs respectively.  Chanielle Enomoto ened with 12 digs.

For Sage, the Gators were paced by  Michayla Berard's match best 17 kills on 34 attacks.  Mickey Mango added 9 kills for the victors.  Rachel Liebig dealt out 30 assists.

MCLA will look to get back on track on Tuesday when they host Framingham State in a key MASCAC matchup.
