Trailblazers serve their way past Mountaineers 3-0

North Adams, MA- The MCLA Volleyball team cruised past visiting Southern Vermont this evening defeating the Mountaineers 3-0 in non conference action.  The Trailblazers are now 6-7 on the season as they will head to Mass. Maritime on Sunday to continue MASCAC play.  SVC drops to 3-10 on the season.

MCLA took set one 25-15 and then the second 25-16.  They would close out the match with a 25-19 third set win.

MCLA served the ball well all night collecting 15 aces against the Mountaineers.

The Trailblazers were paced by Allison Clark's 6 kills on 14 attacks.  The senior would add 8 digs in the win.  Three MCLA players collected 5 kills as Brooke Queripel, Maggie Allen, and Alyssa Keegan all had solid hitting nights.  Beatrice Lechler notched a match best 14 assists while Casey Malzahn had a team best 11 digs.

Taylor Wiese had 5 aces serving while Rebecca Godbout added 4 more.

The Trailblazers will look to even their MASCAC mark on Sunday when they face the Buccaneers at 1pm.
