Stewart claims MASCAC rookie of the week

North Adams, MA- MCLA first year setter Natasha Stewart has been named the MASCAC rookie of the week as announced by the league offices this afternoon.  The honor marks the first in the career of Stewart and for MCLA this season.

Amari King of Worcester State continued her solid play as was selected as the conference's player of the week.

Stewart was outstanding over a four game stretch for MCLA.  The first year player from North Andover averaged 15.5 assists and 7.5 digs in a 2-2 week for the Trailblazers.  Her best performance was a 25 assist, 9 dig showing in a 3-2 win over conference rival Bridgewater State University.  She would add 15 assists in a win over Castleton and 16 more in a loss to Westfield.

Stewart's performance helped the Trailblazers improve to 2-3 in the conference as they prepart to head to Fitchburg State this week.
