Volleyball wraps up play at Gordon Invite with pair of 3-0 setbacks

Wenham, MA- The MCLA Volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions this afternoon at the Gordon Invitational. The Trailblazers fell to Potsdam in the opener before falling to MIT in the nightcap. MCLA is now 0-3 on the season.
In the opener, the sets were tight as MCLA dropped a 25-19 first set and then the second by an identical score. Potsdam would close out MCLA with a hard fought 25-23 set win in the third.
MCLA was paced by Kelly Moczulski's team best 8 kills. Reagan Scattergood notched 7 kills while Tessa Sestito notched 22 assists in defeat. MCLA was undone by 18 attack errors in the contest.
In the nightcap, MCLA fells 25-18, 25-13, and 25-23 to wrap up play.
MCLA mustered up just 11 kills in the contest, led by four more from Scattergood. Houa Xiong collected 9 digs in the loss.
The Trailblazers are back in action on Tuesday night when they host Mt. Holyoke in the home opener.
