Volleyball's Moczulski repeats as MASCAC Rookie of the Week
North Adams, MA- MCLA first year outside hitter Kelly Moczulski (New River, AZ) continued her hot stretch this week and once again claimed the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference's Rookie of the Week honor. Last week, she swept both the Player and Rookie awards. Westfield State's Ally Rega took home the player of the week honors.
Moczulski has been the catalyst of MCLA's current five game winning streak. She led the Trailblazers to a perfect 2-0 week as MCLA prepares to take on Westfield tomorrow night in the MASCAC opener for both teams.
The outside hitter averaged 9 kills, 6 digs, and 2.5 aces for the week. She hit a solid .405 to pace all attackers.
Moczulski began the week with five kills and five digs in a 3-0 win over Bay Path at home before posting her best performance of the season on Saturday. Against Becker, she would stuff the stat sheet with 13 kills and 7 digs in another MCLA 3-0 win.
She currently leads the conference with 22 aces and sits third in the league in total kills.
MCLA and Westfield are slated to serve at 6pm on Tuesday night.
