Moczulski wins rookie of the week for fourth straight time

North Adams, MA- For the fourth consecutive week, MCLA freshman outside hitter Kelly Moczulski (New River, AZ) has been named the MASCAC rookie of the week as announced by the league offices this afternoon.  Brianna Starkey of Westfield State was tabbed the conference's player of the week.

Moczulski has been on a tear of late in leading MCLA to wins in eight of their last ten games.  Over the past week, the first year player averaged 11.3 kills and 13.3 digs in a 2-1 week for the Trailblazers.  She collected 13 kills and 22 digs in a narrow 3-2 win over New England College to start the week.  She would follow that up with 11 kills and 4 digs in a 3-0 win over Mass. Maritime in league play.  Moczulski ended the week with 10 kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 setback to Amherst.

She currently ranks third in the MASCAC with 135 kills on the season.  Moczulski is second in the league with 30 aces and is in the top ten with 129 digs.

The Trailblazers continue MASCAC play on Wednesday night when they head to Fitchburg State to battle the Falcons.
