Eight straight for Moczulski!  First year outside hitter collects rookie of the week honors again

North Adams, MA- MCLA first year outside hitter Kelly Moczulski has claimed her eighth straight MASCAC rookie of the week honor.  The conference announced the weekly honors earlier this afternoon.  Moczulski has had a firm grip on the honor since it began in early September.

Brandee Thomas of Framingham State collected the conference's player of the week award.

Moczulski continues to spearhead a Trailblazer offense that has them already into the MASCAC postseason tournament.  Moczulski's offense has led MCLA to a 17-9 record which includes a 4-2 mark heading into Saturday's conference finale at Bridgewater State.

The first year averaged 9.3 kills, 7.3 digs, and 3.3 aces for MCLA last week.  She began the week with 9 kills, 8 digs, and 4 aces in a key win over Worcester State last Wednesday.  The New River, AZ native then added 14 kills and 5 digs in a 3-0 win over Castleton in a tri match over the weekend.  She closed the week by tallying 5 kills and 9 digs in a loss to Plymouth State.

Moczulski continues to be near the top of the conference in both Kills and Aces.  She also ranks in the top ten in digs.

The Trailblazers host Cobleskill tomorrow night before the finale with BSU on Saturday.
