Moczulski ends regular season with ninth straight rookie nod

MASCAC Weekly Release

North Adams, MA- MCLA's Kelly Moczulski has made quite the impression during her first season on campus.  For the ninth straight week, the outside hitter has been named the MASCAC rookie of the week as announced by the league offices this afternoon.  Brandee Thomas of Framingham State is the conference's player of the week.

Moczulski has spearheaded the MCLA offense all season long.  She helped lead the Trailblazers to an 18-10 regular season, which included a 4-3 mark in conference play.  MCLA will be the fourth seed in this week's tournament and will host #5 Worcester State on Tuesday night.

This week, Moczulski averaged 9.5 kills, 14 digs, and 4 aces in a 1-1 week as MCLA wrapped up the regular season.  Moczulski began the week by leading the team to a win over Cobleskill at home.  She tallied 14 kills, 20 digs, and 7 aces in that contest.  Moczulski ended with 5 kills, 8 digs, and an ace in a loss to Bridgewater State on Saturday.

Moczulski continues to be near the league leaders in Kills, Digs, and Aces heading into the postseason.
