Volleyball Moves Winning Streak to Four Straight with Win Over Pilgrims

North Adams, MA: On Tuesday evening, the MCLA Volleyball team hosted the New England College for a non-conference matchup with the Pilgrims at the Amsler Campus Center Gym.
THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS
- MCLA took command of the match early, winning the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-22. The Trailblazers' biggest run of the night was an 8-0 stretch to open the second set, which included by a pair of service aces from Chloe Garber.
- The Pilgrims fought back in the third set, maximizing a 9-2 run before holding on for a 27-25 set victory.
- The Trailblazers took the fourth set by a 25-22 margin.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- During their current four-game winning streak, the Trailblazers have recorded double-digit kill totals in 13 of their 14 sets.
- Garber paced the Trailblazers with 14 kills and five service aces. Overall, she accounted for 19 of her team's 62 points won.
- Audrey Melson and Anais Badio joined Garber in the double-digit kill club with 12 and 11, respectively.
- Shannon O'Brien (25 assists) and Beth Harris (19 assists) were the main distributors, aiding their teammates to get to those kill totals.
