Zator Leads Women’s Cross-Country at MASCAC Championship
LEOMINSTER, Mass.— The MCLA Women's Cross-Country team participated in the 2024 MASCAC Championship this morning held at the Doyle Conservation Area in Leominster (Mass.). Junior Kristie Zator was the top runner for the Trailblazers finishing 30th.
Westfield State claimed the team championship with 20 points while Bridgewater State (62 points) and Framingham State (68 points) finished second and third, respectively.
Though Westfield State placed eight runners in the top nine spots, it was Bridgewater State's Naomi Cass who took first place with a 5k mark of 18:31.89. Westfield's Teale Chandonnet (18:56.83) and Julianne Kelly (19:05.83) finished second and third for the Owls.
Ella Staffier, Allee George, Hannah Mitchem and Samantha Wheeler gave strong efforts representing MCLA along with Zator today in the championship.
