MCLA Golf Classic nets $27,000 for Athletics

Pittsfield, MA- The MCLA Athletics department held their annual Golf Classic yesterday at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield.  The event featured a pair of honorees in MCLA President Mary K. Grant and Jim Canavan.  Conserve thru Control, Inc. once again served as the Presidents' Title Club sponsor for the event.

The annual classic, now in its 17th year, raises funds for the athletics department.  This years' classic was the highest grossing tournament to date netting over $27,000 for Athletics.  Following the 18 hole scramble format, a banquet was held in honor of Grant and Canavan.

A day filled with fun and laughter was highlighted by a hole in one by Jason Dohoney on the fifth hole which was worth $10,000!!  The hole in one prize was sponsored by Smith-Brothers McAndrews.  Gross and net prizes were awarded to the winners.
