Murales Louis Induction

One of the most dominant players in school history, Louis set the bar high for the Men’s Basketball program.  He is fourth on the all time scoring list trailing only Phil Bledsoe, Bernard Alexander, and former teammate Josh Thielen with 1,727 career points.  He also ranks in the top five in rebounding and blocked shots.

Statistically speaking, his numbers are off the charts.  His career totals are 1,727 points, 852 rebounds, 172 blocked shots, 96 steals, and a shooting percentage of 56%!

Louis was an All MASCAC selection all four years at the college.  He also led the Trailblazers to a regular season conference championship during the 1998-99 season.  During that run, he was in the top three statistically in four conference categories.

A native of Haiti, Louis moved to Cambridge at the age of 13.  He proudly graduated from MCLA with a degree in History and then began working in the Arlington Public schools.  He would go on to receive a Masters degree from Tufts University in 2011 and a special education license from Northeastern University.

He loves cooking (and especially eating) great food, spending quality time with his wife, Rawchayl, and their two daughters, Amara and Josephine, and taking trips with his family and close friends, watching television, and playing basketball in the local Boston Sunday basketball league. He shared his love for basketball by using his skills and expertise as their Head Coach for the boy’s basketball team for eight years.
