Bio
Kathryn Galli graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Biology and a concentration in Sports Medicine. She was a three
sport athlete in tennis, basketball, and softball. She has an
impressive softball career and made an immediate impact as a
starting shortstop, a position she would hold for all four year of
her collegiate career. She was named to the first team MASCAC four
year running.
Kate had the honor of playing on the 1994 softball squad that made
it to the championship round of the ECAC Division III Tournament.
In 1995, she was named first team ECAC. It was during the 1995
campaign that she led her team to a MASCAC championship and a
national tournament appearance. This team also holds many records
at the College, including most wins in a single season. In the 1997
season, Kate was the team’s Most Valuable Player, co-player
of the year in the MASCAC, and received first team All-New England
honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association. She
finished second in the MASCAC in 1997 with an impressive .486
batting average and 39 RBIs. As a captain of the softball team,
Kate was named again to the NFCA regional team and received the
College’s Sportswoman of the Year Award. She completed her
career with an amazing .425 batting average and a four-year .916
fielding percentage as a shortstop.
